Botanical Headpiece

Last month, photographer Ted Mishima asked if I would do a botanical headpiece for a photo shoot. He was interested in submitting images for a show exhibiting alternative forms of photography, and was especially interested in the technique of wet plates.

When he showed some images of botanical headpieces, I had absolutely no idea how I would go about this, but I was excited to tackle the challenge. It was fun! Ted also took many digital images.

A huge Thank you! Ted for inviting me to collaborate on this wonderful project and many thanks to Candace: you were fantastic!

Is it a coincidence that you brought out your new photos today, Valentines Day? How apropos… It was certainly a great pleasure to work with such a great artist such as yourself. I knew you would be able to take the idea and concept and bring to it something that was “Françoise Weeks”. It is great to see creativity and expression bloom right in front of your eyes! I’m looking forward to working with you again. The ball is rolling and we must keep it moving!
