Less than 2 years after I started to do woodland arrangements in 2007, I really wanted to emulate that detailed organic look for bridal bouquets. I needed a holder with a thin oasis base of about 8″ in diameter. I looked everywhere, but could not find what I wanted. Determined to figure it out, I came up with a system, using a straight handle bouquet holder (I cut down the amount of oasis significantly), two 8″ metal  wreath frames, oasis and small zipties. It was a bit time consuming to prepare this, but it worked like a charm.

I was absolutely thrilled when in 2011 Oasis created  round and square ‘European bouquet holders’. The round ones (which definitely are more popular) are the exact same size as the ones I had put together, except that the oasis is a bit thicker. Needless to say, I don’t spend time making my own anymore. Most students who come to the workshops have not used these holders, but everyone absolutely loves them. They are so versatile and so many styles of bouquets, including cascading ones, can be made with these.
