Edible Arrangement for the “Garden to Table’ Display Garden at the Yard, Garden & Patio Show

Last weekend the Yard, Garden & Patio Show at the Convention Center was put on by  the Oregon Association of Nurseries.

Karen Schwartz with Calendula Garden Design and Carol Senna with Melingo Studio Landscape Design created the fantastic “Garden to Table” display garden.  For a great description please  read Valerie Easton’s blog, Plant Talk.

Karen invited me to make an edible arrangement for the long, rustic table.

Hands-on Class in the Studio: Blooming Branches and Spring Flowers!

Bring the outside in and learn how to force blooming branches! Quince, cherry branches or forsythia arranged by themselves en masse look dramatic. Learn how paired with other spring flowers like daffodils, tulips, hellebore and hyacinths they make exquisite arrangements. Come and join us for this fun class that will remind you that spring truly is around the corner!

Toad-lilies

These small, yet spectacular orchid-like blooms are a very favorite in the fall! This shade plant flowers in our gardens and the speckled flowers are pure eye candy that will last up to two weeks as a cut flower. Paired with metallina roses and soft green texture, these little gems shine!
