Hands-on Class: Creative Easter Baskets

Come join us  for this hands-on class and learn to design a creative  easter basket. You will take your creation home!

Learn how to fashion unique baskets by adding unusual handles to a  container wrapped with leaves.. When finished, your basket will brim with colorful spring flowers and plenty of texture!

The hands-on classes are limited to 8 students per class and are conducted at Françoise’s Studio – 2754 SE 33rd Place.  Prices include flowers, supplies, use of tools, and best of all, your creation goes home with you!  Receipt of your check (or payment with Paypal) for the full tuition secures your place in the class.

Chartreuse Table Flowers

In late winter, there aren’t many chartreuse flowers or greenery to be harvested in the garden yet , except for the fabulous  hellebore and euphorbia.

However, blossoms of cymbidiums and  glads as well as hypericum berries, succulents and foliage of favorite houseplants like maidenhair and begonias, offer plenty of choice for chartreuse table arrangements at this time of the year.

Spring Flowers and Artichokes

Schoolhouse Supplies, a free store for teachers that offers a wealth of resources, organized a fundraiser at the Art Museum on February 5th. The 10th Annual Wells Fargo Spelling Bee took place in the Sunken Ballroom; dinner was served in the Grand Ballroom.

Cascadia Bridal Fashion Show

Lisa Marie, owner of Enchanted Corsets , invited me to provide bridal bouquets for the bridal fashion show that she organized earlier this month at the Lotus Seed Center in NE Portland.

She designs and sews the most detailed and creative corsets and pairs them with gorgeous skirts. The outfits were splendid!
