Flower Time at City Hall in Brussels
A year an a half ago Pieter Toebaert, who organizes Flower Time invited me to participate in this magnificent flower event that takes place every other year at city hall in Brussels.
It was such an honor and the experience was simply extra ordinary. Pieter suggested that I would make botanical botanical dresses, headpieces and jewelry ; his wife Lena offered to create fabulous mannequins.
My friend Sheryl Tynes came along for this incredible flower adventure. The day that we arrived we went foraging and found so many woodland treasures.We had 3 days to get everything ready and were very grateful for the help that we received from the volunteers.
The event lasted for 5 days and was an incredible success. More than 25,000 people came to see all the installations, created by designers who came from all over Europe, and from China and Indonesia as well.

Francoise- So glad you got invited to do your own thing in Brussels this year! What a fantastic installation! Love those basket mannequins. Did Lena make them for this project? The colors are perfect for those rooms, and your work is exquisite as always. Brilliant idea to use that winged cap. Of course I love your work.
Congratulations to you. What a huge job. But I know it is always wonderful to work with other creative peers on such a big production.
