In October I taught a 4 day workshop at Wild Rice Retreat in Bayfield,WI. It was a memorable experience! This modern retreat destination is located on Lake Superior in the middle of the woods. The Scandinavian modern lodging accommodations were stellar and every day we savored healthy locally sourced meals.

This venue was so perfect to teach a woodland workshop! We had the luxury to walk out of the classroom and forage in a beautiful  forest, where we found incredible treasures to design with. We designed woodland centerpieces, wreaths and log arrangement as well as woodland inspired jewelry, fascinators and larger headpieces. Everyone was so inspired by the wonderful pieces that we found while foraging: the curly pieces of birch bark, many varieties of moss and lichens, a plethora of mushrooms , berries and seedpods…
