Square Woodland Wreath

Early in the fall, I like to gather some wonderful bark from a eucalyptus tree in the neighborhood. This variety sheds it’s bark in a long curly fashion and it is perfect to create a base for a square woodland wreath with it. Typically I decorate it with seedpods, succulents, cacti etc,…all these great elements that don’t require a water source. It is definitely an option to add a few flowers in water tubes, to add some vibrant color to it, as you will see in the second design,

Supplies and Botanicals:

-12″ square wire wreath

-paddle wire gauge 26

-hot glue gun

-clippers

-moss

-eucalyptus bark

-selection of seedpods, lichen, succulents, cacti, tillandsia

How to:

1.Cover the wreath with a generous amount of moss. use the paddle wire to secure the moss to the wreath

2. Hot glue the bark onto the moss

3. Hot glue the seedpods, lichens etc to the bark

A couple of digitalis in water tubes were added to this wreath

For this wreath I secured branches covered with lichen to the frame and added a few stems of sweetpeas and brodeia in water tubes
