Workshop in Bayfield,WI

I was thrilled to have the opportunity to teach another 4 day workshop at Wild Rice Retreat in Bayfield,WI last month. Just like last year, it truly was a memorable experience! This modern retreat destination is located on Lake Superior in the middle of the woods. The Scandinavian modern lodging accommodations are stellar and every day we savored healthy locally sourced meals.

This venue is so perfect to teach a woodland workshop! We had the luxury to walk out of the classroom and forage daily in a beautiful  forest, where we found incredible treasures to design with: a plethora of mushrooms, berries, seedpods and many varieties of lichens and mosses. The many fallen birch trees offered so many pieces of curly bark, which were very easy to peel off.

The students designed gorgeous woodland centerpieces, wreaths and log arrangements as well as woodland inspired jewelry, fascinators and larger headpieces. Everyone was very inspired by the wonderful pieces that we foraged!

Thank you Tara, Julia, Robin and Karen, for driving all the way from Denver, Chicago, Madison and Grande Cache in Alberta to spend 5 memorable days in this wonderful haven.

Many thanks to Aria with Ariarosephoto for all the beautiful images. Thank you Jenna Erickson, Eva and Kayla for modeling all the jewelry and headpieces.
