Magnificent orchid-like toad-lilies, steel-blue viburnum berries, asclepia and scabiosa seedpods, claw-like grasses, herbs, alchimella, chocolate cosmos and a blend of white beauties…

Much of the ceremony was based on Navajo customs and traditions as Nanibaa’ is a member of the Navajo Nation. Chairs were placed in a circle and in the center was an arrangement made on a large piece of bark.
The woodland theme was carried over for the centerpieces.
Reed College Chapel: the gorgeous woodwork in this very intimate chapel lends itself perfectly for woodland arrangements.
While working on a project, we gathered a variety of texture and simply placed them on the work bench:
vines, striking foliage and seedpods from the garden; kale, mini-eggplants and some fruits; berries, nuts and succulents; grasses, lichen, moss and river rock.
What fun centerpieces these would be for long tables!
Thanks Joni for the great pictures!
the swirly seedpod from clematis: a favorite!
