Woodland Wedding Bouquet
Last fall I did the flowers for Lauren and Lincoln’s wedding (see Real Weddings – November 1). Early in the spring, their photographer friend Nicole Wickens (http://www.greendoorphotography.com) did a ‘day after’ session. Lauren asked if I could do a bouquet for the occasion, and she gave me the green light to do anything I wanted. This was the perfect opportunity to play with a woodland theme idea that I had wanted to try out for quite some time.
Nicole captured the details beautifully!
Francoise! This is so lovely… and so much like you!
You have found a perfect northwest fairy tale style… I don’t see this work coming from anyone else!
Nicole did a beautiful job capturing it, too… clean and simple.
WOW! What a unique creation. Congrats on yet another beautiful design a’natural.
Françoise, the texture and detail of this bouquet is remarkable. I appreciate how your arrangements tie in with the lovely shawl and dress she’s wearing – and with the sheeny moss-green of his tie. It has a beautiful simplicity and a natural, organic feeling.
Françoise- Jamie touched upon the theme…your creation gives a feel of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Truly one of a kind and stand alone. If someone is looking for ART, they need not look further. You are the true master of turning ordinary everyday material into wonderfully beautiful creative pieces of ART!
Francoise! This bouquet is so unique and beautiful!!! I absolutely love your work! You are always up-ing the bar! 🙂 Gorgeous!
Francoise, you’ve created such a wonderful green world in miniature. I want to walk through this magical landscape clasped as it is between two hands. You’ve really fine-tuned this approach to floral art.
Gorgeous stuff! I may link to it from my blog with all credit going to you and Nicole!
This is absolutely beautiful. So unique and just perfect. What exactly is it composed of?
Thanks! I figured out a way to use a thin layer (8″ diameter) of floral foam for these woodland bouquets; this offers the possibility to do very detailed work. Lots of texture, a magnolia branch, mushrooms, a few flowers… These are very fun, albeit time-consuming, to make
